Identification of Ground Motion Potential Based on Ground Shear Strain (GSS) Analysis of Microtremor Data and Earthquake Data in The Hilly Area of Moramo District

Abstract. Research has been conducted in the hilly area of Moramo District, South Konawe Regency. This study aims to determine the distribution of GSS values and determine the potential for ground motion that occurs based on GSS parameters. Microtremor data were analyzed using the HVSR method using Geopsy 3.4.2 software to determine the dominant frequency value and amplification value obtained from the H/V curve. Then the Seismic Vulnerability Index and PGA values were calculated. The Seismic Vulnerability Index value together with the PGA value is used to obtain the GSS value. Based on the research results, the distribution of GSS values in the hilly area of Moramo District ranges from to . The potential ground motion that may occur in the hilly area of Moramo District consists of 2 phenomena, specifically vibration and cracking or ground movement. Areas with vibration phenomena are located south of Lamboo village, north and east of Pudaria Jaya village, north of Watu Porambaa village, south and west of Sumber Sari village, and east of Ulusena village, while areas with cracking or ground movement phenomena are located south of Pudaria Jaya village, north of Watu Porambaa village, most of Wonua Jaya village and Sumber Sari village, south of Bisikori village, and most of west of Ulusena village. In the study area, soil dynamics are only elastic and elasto-plastic.
